I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again today. I used to write so much more before I was
told I needed to write right.
One of the hardest things for me has been embracing the idea
that being told that something can’t or shouldn’t be done simply because it has
never been done is malarkey. But as I grow as a writer and get more
exposure to other writers of varying degrees of experience, I am really getting
more comfortable with telling the best story I can in my own way.
It is extremely liberating to just write and not worry about
if I am doing it correctly or in the vein of this or that best seller. And ultimately it has led me back to telling
the story the way I am equipped to. And
I encourage all story tellers to do the same.
So throw caution to the wind and embrace the art of Just Writing.
